Are these hoods made by Tahusa?
No, the hoods, films and certain accessories are not designed nor manufactured by Tahusa. I sourced them from a trusted supplier who I have tested the products for both quality and practicality with great results. If you're interested in Tahusa’s own products, check out the soft releases.
Hood's Spec and Performance
Does the hood lock in place?
Depends on which Lens hood.
- For Nokton 35/50 and Zeiss ZM 35/50
The hood does not lock in place like the original Voigtlander lens hood. There is no click in position. It has similar design like the Hasselblad Xpan 45mm and 30mm lens hood. Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.5 square lens hood has already been upgraded to a metal mount providing more precision and snug fit to your lens bayonet. The hood should have a tight fit but if you do receive a copy that has a loose fit (refer to FAQ below), please contact us.
- For Leica Summicron 35/2
The hood will lock in position with the metal clip like the original Leica Summicron lens hood for Summicron 35/2 IV Pre-a (King of Bokeh). There is a small slot following the original design to help station the hood in the right position.
- For Leica Summicron 35/2 Type 2 / Type 3
The hood is tightened with the small screw and screwdriver provided. After rotating the lens into the position you want, use the screwdriver to tighten the hood, it will stay in place.
- For A36 Lenses
The hood is tightened with a screw. After rotating to the position you want. Simply tighten the screw on the hood, it will then stay in place.
- For Hasselblad Xpan
The hood does not lock in place following the same design as the original Hasselblad Xpan hood.
Does it cause extra vignette?
To balance both aesthetic and lens performance, the lens opening was made to the most optimal point. The Nokton 28mm and 35mm and other 35mm wide angle lenses that take the lens hood might add a slight vignette when shooting wide open, particularly against a plain background. If you are very particular about vignettes, this might not be for you.
Can this also be used on 28mm Nokton?
The LH-6 mount also fits on multiple lenses. However, there is a slight vignette added when shooting wide open or even stopping down to f/2.8. If you are very particular about vignettes, this might not be for you.
Does it perfectly align on the lens with the camera?
We tried our best to make it as balanced as possible. In some cases they could be off by minor degrees.
Why does my copy have a loose fit? Is this a faulty copy?
Our supplier tried the best to improve the fit and in some cases the copies in Asia, US and European countries could be different. Please contact us, we are happy to send you a replacement.
Can you do a custom lens hood?
Yes, our supplier can help you design and customize lens hood but limited to certain models. Please check with us if you have one in mind to see if we could make it.
Is there any hood that fits Voigtlander Ultron 28mm f2?
Unfortunately no at the moment. If you are interested in Ultron 35mm f/2, there might be one coming. Watch this space.
Delivery
The tracking link doesn’t work, what could I do?
If in any case your tracking link does not work, you can always use 17track.net to check delivery status. A global tracking link to tell you most of the updates of your shipment.
Will I receive a tracking code?
You will receive two emails from us, the first is order confirmation, and once the product is shipped, a second email will reach you providing the tracking code.
Sometimes these emails might make it to your spam mailbox, so make sure you check that too.
Who should I contact when I see a parcel that has arrived at the mail center but stating it is out for delivery but failed?
Please send us an email, we are happy to assist any enquiries. Usually for SF Express or 4PX courier, there is a local agency handling the parcels. Please allow some time for them to update but in any case that you couldn’t reach the courier and require a local tracking code, just let us know.
Does it really take 3-4 weeks to have it delivered?
It usually takes 12-14 days to deliver to major US and European cities, and around 14 days to Asia Pacific. In more remote areas it might take up to 3 weeks. The final actual delivery time varies depending on the global logistics situation.
Why am I receiving two parcels?
We split analog film orders and lens hood orders for faster shipment turnaround.
I cannot pick the shipping options. Do you ship to my country?
We ship to most countries. If your country is not amongst the shipping list, please contact us directly.
Do you have local pick up in Hong Kong?
Yes we do. Shoot us an email and we can arrange this.
Do you offer express delivery?
Yes we do offer express shipping with DHL or Hong Kong EMS posts, please send us an email for a quotation.

What Shipping Methods Are Available?
We ship with Hong Kong Post, 4PX and SF Express to ensure it safely reach to our customer's hand.
with Express Shipping, we use SF EXPRESS, DHL or Hong Kong Post (Speedpost). Shipping costs is calculated at checkout. Shipping time is 1-3 weeks, depending on the destination country
with Flat Rate Shipping, shipping time is 3-4 weeks, depending on the destination country
Please be aware that a delivery area surcharge may apply if your address is located in certain remote regions.
Do You Ship Internationally?
We sure do! In addition to shipping to Hong Kong, we can ship to most countries around the world.
Normally, all orders will be handled within 3 WORKING DAYS with the shipping service you choose. Except under PRE-ORDER period or other special occasions stated.
Please note that we follow the Hong Kong calendar. The Hong Kong calendar may contain some public holidays that are little known outside Hong Kong and China.
How Long Will It Take To Get My Package?
For Prints
All of our prints require custom printing and each fresh prints takes 4-5 days. It will take 10 to 28 working days for air mail items to reach recipients, subject to flight availability, the progress of customs clearance and aviation security check. You can check parcel delivery status via Hong Kong Post Office's website or direct enquiry, provided track-and-trace information from destination post is available.
For product (except prints)
with Express Shipping, we use SF EXPRESS, DHL or Hong Kong Post (Speedpost). Shipping costs is calculated at checkout. Shipping time is 1-3 weeks, depending on the destination country
with Flat Rate Shipping, shipping time is 3-6 weeks, depending on the destination country

Backorder time
Please note that the back order time is approximately one month. If you place your order now, you will receive an email confirming order completion once the stock is ready. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Should there be any changes, we will notify you via email.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?
We accept all major debit and credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and also Paypal.
Orders & Returns
How do I place an Order?
In order to make a purchase on our shop follow these steps :
- Choose an item you want to buy, choose the quantity and press the button “ADD TO CART”
- Then you can choose another item and go to ordering
- To place an order access your cart
- Fill in your personal data ( name, surname, phone number and shipping address)
- Then you’ll be headed to the page where you can choose the payment method. At the moment we choose the payment via bank transfer or via credit card. Choose suitable for you method and read all the legal document of our store. To finish your purchase you have to accept the shop rules. And push the button “Pay”
- If the entire procedure is performed correctly, you’ll get a confirmation letter to your mail with its detailed description. If you’ve made a mistake or filled in invalid data? the shop will point to them and you’ll be able to correct the mistakes.
- As soon as the payment is received the status of your order will be changed to “Paid” and will be ready for shipping. You’ll receive a mailing letter with all the details.
- As soon as your order is shipped the status of your order will be changed to “Completed”, you’ll automatically get the detailed email.
- The shop will be automatically checking your tracking number and as soon as your order is delivered you’ll get a notification about the delivery.
- All your further orders can be checked in your personal cabinet.
How Can I Cancel Or Change My Order?
We work to get your order to you as quickly as possible, so once your order is placed it's not usually possible to make any changes. Please email us if you have any questions.
We cannot change the items or sizes in your order once it is placed, sorry, but similarly to the above, if you chat to us straight away we can see whether it's possible to cancel the order and re-order the correct sizing/items.
Do I need an account to place an order?
If you'd like to keep track of your orders and save your details, you might want to consider creating an account for convenience.
Alternatively, you can select the guest checkout option which doesn't require you to create an account.
How Do I Track My Order?
We will send you tracking number once the item is shipped. You may track your order in the Order Tracking or you can check parcel delivery status via Hong Kong Post Office's website or direct enquiry, provided track-and-trace information from destination post is available.
How Can I Return a Product?
We are committed to ensuring our customers' satisfaction. If you receive a product that is damaged or not what you ordered, we are happy to offer an exchange or refund (not inclusive of original shipping costs). In such cases, please send us a photo of the product via email within three days of delivery. If you need to return an item, please note that buyers are responsible for all return shipping costs. To initiate a return, please contact us.
However, please note that we cannot process returns or exchanges in the following situations:
- If the actual appearance or color of the products differs from what is shown in the photos. We strive to represent our products as accurately as possible, but please understand that there may be some differences. In such cases, the actual product will take precedence.
- If the return is due to personal preference or ordered the wrong item. We understand that expectations can vary, but we CANNOT accommodate exchanges or refunds simply because a product did not meet personal taste or preference.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with our policies. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible shopping experience.
Can I save an item to a wish list?
If something's caught your eye but you're not ready to buy it now, you can add it to your wishlist, and come back later when you’re ready to shop. Just look for the ‘Add to wishlist’ link on any product page.
Saving an item is a way of remembering what you love, but it won’t keep the item in stock or save a promo or sale price. So if you want to make sure it doesn't sell out or you want to enjoy a great promotion, don’t wait too long!
To save an item, you’ll need to create an account on our website so that you can log back in to see your items at another time. If you don’t have an account, you’ll be invited to create one when you first try to save an item.
VAT and Import Tax or Duties
When shopping in our online store, please note that our prices do not include any taxes or import duties. While you will not see these charges or taxes calculated during checkout, it's important to be aware that your order may be subject to import taxes, VAT, or other duties depending on your location. These charges are dictated by the customs and import policies of your country, and unfortunately, we have no control over them. It's a good idea to check your country's customs policies before placing an order, so you're not surprised by any unexpected costs.
