The lens hood, crafted from aluminum with a sleek silver anodized finish, fits tightly without the need for a locking mechanism.The mount is made of durable metal, ensuring long-lasting performance and style.
The set includes an optional aluminum hood cover, enhanced with plush velvet lining for added protection. It is designed to seamlessly accommodate a UV or protective filter (see details below).
For a customized fit, the tightness of the hood can be easily adjusted by gently pressing the middle of the metal bar on the hood. Please note that achieving the perfect tightness may require a few attempts, so we encourage you to keep adjusting until you find your preferred fit.

It is designed to work with a UV or protective filter, though not all filter types will fit. It does not fit any circular CPL or Variable ND filters or certain filters (e.g. K&F, Tiffen) that has wider diameters. Feel free to check with us before you buy.

Each hood has a small dot. Install the lens hood and rotate the lens hood until it stops, the small dot will be facing up
The lens hood is designed for a tight fit, without a locking mechanism. To achieve its sleek design, there isn't enough space to include a locking mechanism. Unlike the original Voigtlander hood, it does not click into place or lock in position.
It is designed to work with a UV or protective filter, though not all filter types will fit. For the best fit, we recommend slim B+W, Hoya, Kenko Pro, Leica filters, or filters from our shop. It does not fit any circular CPL or Variable ND filters or certain filters (e.g. K&F, Tiffen) that has wider diameters. Feel free to check with us before you buy.
This hood may cause a slight vignette when shooting wide open, especially against plain backgrounds. If you are sensitive to vignetting, this hood might not be suitable for you. Type 2 with a wider hood opening [LINK] will not add vignettes at wide open.

I’ve been searching for a silver square hood for the Zeiss Biogon 35mm f/2 ZM for a long time. Never thought someone would actually make one this beautiful. The finish is absolutely stunning, the build feels solid and precise, and the fit is perfect—like it was made by Zeiss themselves. It completes the lens both in form and function.

I really like this hood. It's crazy expensive for what it is, but okay, for me, it was worth it. I have two of them on Zeiss lenses and they fit like they should. Much, much better than a hood from another manufacturer I got from Amazon.
