The lens hood is made from aluminum in silver and fits tightly without a locking mechanism. There is no clicking or position locking like the original Voigtlander hood.

*The improved version – be it the mount – is now made better. The mount is made of metal instead of nylon. The fitting of the hood should be more precise. 

It is designed to accommodate a UV or protective filter seamlessly.
